Blakeney's Watch House sits half way along Blakeney Point, between a seal colony and a turn colony. Cut off from power, fresh water and a 45 minute walk along shingle, it seemed the perfect retreat for a mid-week sea swimming expedition.

A luxurious way to spend a few hours at the glorious Thames Lido - which staff all pronounce lee-doe - complete with ice bucket shower, sauna and amazing gadgets to ensure beach changing was truly spectacular.
A moonlit swim... with glowsticks!
Hampton Pool, in the borough of Richmond is a heated outdoor lido, open year round. From November to January it opens in the late evening so brave swimmers can take to the water under hopefully moonlit skies.
The temperature is dropping at Brockwell Lido - or should that be plummeting - but we swim on and we shall not be wearing neoprene gloves until it's below 5 degrees!
