About us

We are Sarah and Ruth. Cut off from swimming pools during the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic we sought outdoor swimming where we could. When our local lido reopened we embraced it, and kept going even as the water temperature dipped into single figures.

In late 2021 we set ourselves the challenge of testing the ten best British outdoor pools in a newspaper article and off we went. Though we soon realised we wanted more than just a 'top ten' and expanded our horizons.
